Here we can see the two aposing ends of the room. The closest tree and the furthest tree are 26' apart. The middle tree is actually the righ hand post of the footfoard of the bed which will also double as a roof support.

The far left tree is one of the 16 outter uprights. You can see it is only about 11 feet tall as apposed to the 18'(ish) center uprights. This will allow for the slope of the roof as it comes down to the ground.

Once all the uprights are standing and I start to tied them all into each other with cross braces the final heights will be adjusted. Right now I am just putting them all up rough and long so I can have room to see what sort of shapes are available to me as I go.

This is not something I would try to draw up on blueprints since each tree is a unique shape and one must be placed and used in relation to the shapes and sizes of the others arround it.

Allthough I have a rought idea of what all this will look like in the end, like with any of my sculptures using natural materials, the end result will be cooperation between myself and the artwork itself. The final result will reveal itself as it and I discover what it truly will be.

In order to make sure the required strength is built into the structure I will be first, overbuilding it to a large degree and also tesing various sections as I go to see what kind of wieght they can support. In the end, this structure has to support a foot of wet dirt covered in snow and or ice.

On the other hand I have no doubt that this building will support twice the load as the trailer behind it. I am pretty sure that the bed frame alone would support my truck if I had a crane to place it with.
